During a meeting in Tehran, Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu discussed regional developments with Mohammad Ali Amani, Secretary General of the Islamic Coalition (Motalefa) Party of Iran. The conversation covered Iran’s resistance against recent aggression, cooperation prospects post-war, and facilitating trade and tourism between the two nations.
Amani highlighted Iran’s stance on retaliation and economic compensation, emphasizing that the era of relying on Western promises is over. He also stressed China as a strategic partner in countering American unilateralism.
Cong Peiwu expressed satisfaction with the meeting, affirming China’s clear support for Iran and referencing the Chinese President’s proposals for global peace and stability. The ambassador mentioned delivering 58 tons of medicine to Iran and outlined plans to ease visa processes for travelers.
Both parties agreed that increasing political mutual trust is crucial despite ongoing challenges.
