In a new audio message directed at the Iranian people, former President Saeed Ghalibaf warned that the country is entering a new phase of confrontation where its enemies are employing economic pressure, media campaigns, and efforts to undermine national unity. He specifically mentioned a „naval blockade“ as part of this strategy, aimed at intensifying economic strain and shaping public perception to push Iran toward submission.
While acknowledging the possibility of military action, particularly terrorist attacks, Ghalibaf emphasized that the primary focus is on weakening Iran from within through economic pressure and psychological warfare. He criticized recent U.S. activities in the Strait of Hormuz and Persian Gulf as relying heavily on flawed intelligence, predicting that these miscalculations will ultimately create difficulties for all parties involved, including the American people who will face rising living costs.
Ghalibaf also highlighted Iran’s historical resilience under pressure, noting that even external experts recognize the Iranian people’s willingness to endure economic hardship in order to preserve their independence and national dignity.
