Iran’s President Praises Armed Forces for Role in Recent Conflict

In a meeting with Defense Ministry officials on Tuesday, Iran’s president highlighted the efforts, valor, and achievements of the Iranian Armed Forces during the recent US-Israeli war of aggression. He commended their role in strengthening Iran’s deterrence and defense power, noting that the enemy had underestimated the offensive capability, operational capacity, and strategic readiness of the Iranian forces.

The president attributed part of this surprise to years of continuous effort, precise planning, and advancements by specialists and commanders in developing and updating defense capabilities. Regarding regional developments, Pezeshkian stated that countries in the region have come to realize that relying on the US military presence for security is not a sustainable or effective strategy.

He emphasized the need to update and redesign Iran’s defense and security structures in line with technological transformations. To achieve this, he called for forward-looking planning and increased collaboration with universities, scientific centers, and knowledge-based companies to enhance defense capabilities.

The president’s remarks underscored the importance of technological advancement in maintaining a robust military presence and highlighted Iran’s commitment to modernizing its armed forces through strategic planning and innovation.
