IRANIAN GUARD CLAIMS DOWNING OF US DRONES AND FIGHTER JET IN PERSIAN GULF

In a statement on Tuesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Department accused the United States of „terrorist army“ activities and stated that U.S. forces had entered Iran’s airspace in the Persian Gulf region through interventionist actions. The IRGC air defense units reportedly identified and shot down an MQ-9 drone while defending the country’s territorial airspace, according to precise intelligence monitoring.

Additionally, the statement noted that IRGC forces fired at an RQ-4 drone and an intruding F-35 fighter jet, forcing them to leave Iran’s airspace. The IRGC warned against any ceasefire violations by the „aggressor US military,“ asserting its right to reciprocal retaliation as a legitimate response.
