Iran Accuses U.S. of Violating Ceasefire and Launching Attacks

In a statement regarding Thursday night clashes in southern Iran, the spokesman for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters accused the United States military of violating a ceasefire by targeting an Iranian oil tanker near the Jask region and another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz off the UAE port of Fujairah. The spokesman also reported that civilian areas were subjected to aerial attacks with cooperation from some regional countries along the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.

In response, Iran’s Armed Forces launched retaliatory attacks against U.S. military vessels east of the Strait of Hormuz and south of the port of Chabahar, causing significant damage. The spokesman emphasized that Iran will respond powerfully to any act of aggression or attack, as it has done in the past.
