Majid Nili Ahmadabadi, the Iranian envoy to the United Nations, commemorated the 100 days since the deadliest missile attack on a school in modern history. The attack occurred on February 28 when US Tomahawk missiles struck Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, resulting in the deaths of 168 students and staff members who were merely carrying books, pencils, and thoughts.
Ahmadabadi harshly criticized those claiming to defend human rights for their silence and hesitation in condemning this war crime. He emphasized that history would not forgive those who remained silent instead of supporting the victims.
The attack sparked widespread public grief and anger in Iran and internationally, with the Islamic Republic labeling it a clear violation of international law and a direct assault on civilians. Despite the severity of the incident, Western governments have refrained from explicitly condemning the perpetrators and maintaining silence on the tragedy.
